My name is Katie and I'm a 23-year old composer and sound designer currently working for Rare. I graduated with a First Class Honours in music from Sir Paul McCartney's prestigious Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts in 2016. A lover of music from a young age, I am also a guitarist and bassist and have played in a wealth of bands throughout my music career. At university, I received a rounded education in music performance, production, business, composition and also discovered my passion for audio in the media.
Shortly after graduation, I was privileged enough to be the first ever recipient of UK Music's 'Outstanding Contribution to Music' graduate award, and equally honoured the following year to receive King and Diversi's scholarship to attend the Game Developer's Conference 2017. As a composer, I have scored the music for award-winning independent film Deep Breaths, alongside several other student media projects. I also composed the music for my university graduation ceremony, attended by Sir Paul McCartney. Alongside this, I teach music, write for the ever-growing game audio website The Sound Architect' and am continually developing my craft in pursuit of a full time career in audio.
